B. Tech. with Honors in Civil Engineering, IIT-Bombay

Milestone

I completed my Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) with Honors in Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) with a GPA of 8.5/10. The program gave me a strong grounding in structural mechanics, analysis, and design, and it was where I first became seriously interested in advanced methods for understanding how structures behave. Courses in structural analysis, stability, and finite element methods sparked a curiosity to go beyond textbook examples and learn more complex analysis techniques—laying the technical foundation that later shaped my decision to pursue a Master's and then a PhD in structural engineering.

Life at IIT Bombay was much more than lectures and exams. I was deeply involved in inter hostel (student hall) cultural events, especially in dance and photography competitions. I regularly participated in these events and helped lead my hostel to multiple wins in both dance and photography contests. Those experiences sharpened my ability to work in creative, high-energy teams and deliver under pressure.

I also served as a core team member at E-Cell, IIT Bombay. Working in a 22-member core team, I helped organize national and international entrepreneurship events with an annual budget of around $290,000. I led a two-tier team of about 40 students handling media associations, event coverage, and social media marketing. This included negotiating terms with major Indian media houses to secure deliverables worth roughly $140,000 and launching targeted campaigns and brand integrations that drove a 150% year-on-year increase in social media followers. Together, these technical, creative, and leadership experiences set the stage for my graduate studies.
